There are another five matters that must be reported: first, bathing and shaving the head; second, washing; third, going out, or studying nearby; fourth, performing affairs of the assembly; fifth, illness and taking medicine. These are twenty matters of a disciple serving his master. When a bhikṣu makes Dharma robes, there are five matters: first, he should place his head and face to the ground in veneration. Second, he should explain the matter accurately: so-and-so has arrived, so-and-so is now taking it to make [robes], and so-and-so reports thus. Third, if the master remains silent and does not reply, he should rise, pay obeisance, and leave. Fourth, if permitted and instructed to make it, he should receive the instructions according to the Dharma. Fifth, if the master says, "This should not be made yet; make such-and-such so wide and so long," he should follow the master's instructions and must not disobey.
