持沙彌至，主許寄時，有五事：一者當教頭面禮；二者教自歸；三者當言卿視我沙彌如卿沙彌；四者我從彼來還，自當歸我；五者若我無常，長屬卿。

When arriving with the śrāmaṇera and the host agrees to receive the entrustment, there are five matters: first, one should instruct him to prostrate with head and face to the ground; second, instruct him to take refuge; third, one should say, ‘Treat my śrāmaṇera as you would your own śrāmaṇera’; fourth, ‘When I return from there, he shall naturally return to me’; fifth, ‘If I pass away, he shall permanently belong to you.’
