2.39

作鉢泥僧摩波利，當行百六十德。作直月，當行六十德。作直日，當行十德。作摩摩德，當行三十德。作直歲，當行十德。此上五人如上行者，久會至無為度世道矣。

Serving as the pātra-and-robes vihārapāla, one should practice one hundred and sixty virtues. Serving as the duty officer of the month, one should practice sixty virtues. Serving as the duty officer of the day, one should practice ten virtues. Serving as the karmadāna, one should practice thirty virtues. Serving as the duty officer of the year, one should practice ten virtues. If these five persons above practice as described above, in the long run they will attain the unconditioned path of liberation.
