具香爐有三事：一者當先除去故火，拾取中香聚一面；二者當拭令淨乃著火，還取故香著中；三者著火不得大熾火、不得少，令灰火疾滅冥。

Preparing the censer has three matters: first, one must first remove the old fire, collect the incense inside, and gather it to one side; second, one must wipe [the censer] clean before putting in fire, and then take back the old incense and place it inside; third, in putting in fire, it must not blaze excessively, nor must it be too little, causing the ash and embers to quickly go out and become dark.
