2.86

當會有五事：一者聞揵椎聲即當著袈裟出戶如法；二者於講堂戶外當止住正袈裟脫帽乃入；三者有佛像者當頭面著地作禮却禮僧；四者當隨次向上座；五者當遺上座處，上座隨坐踞隨踞。

Assembling has five matters: first, hearing the sound of the gaṇḍī, one should immediately put on the kāṣāya and leave the room in accordance with the Dharma; second, outside the door of the lecture hall, one should stop, adjust the kāṣāya, remove one's hat, and only then enter; third, if there is a Buddha image, one should bow with head and face touching the ground, and then bow to the saṅgha; fourth, one should proceed according to seniority toward the sthavira; fifth, one must leave room for the sthavira: as the sthavira sits or squats, one sits or squats accordingly.
