2.11

A disciple has five matters in relying on a niśrayācārya: First, he should go to him frequently. Second, when arriving at the doorway, he should snap his fingers three times. Third, upon entering, he should bow with his head to the ground. Fourth, he should kneel on both knees to inquire after the master's health. Fifth, when leaving, he should exit backward through the doorway.
