問：「比丘與佛作，得食佛食不？」答：「不得。比丘無客作之理，況復得取佛物衣食用耶！」

It was asked, "If a bhikṣu works for the Buddha, may he eat the Buddha's food?" It was answered, "He may not. There is no principle allowing a bhikṣu to be a hired labourer, how much less taking the Buddha's property for food and clothing!"
