1.84

問：「都不結不坐，受歲得不？」答：「若先不知有結，不知有坐法，受臘得。有結，知便應向僧悔。若先知法，故違不得。」

Question: "If one neither establishes nor observes the retreat at all, is receiving monastic age valid?" Answer: "If one previously did not know that there is an establishment and did not know that there are retreat rules, receiving monastic seniority is valid. If it was established and one knows, one should repent before the saṃgha. If one previously knew the rule and intentionally violated it, one does not obtain it."
