Then, among the great assembly, there were a hundred thousand devaputras who, hearing this Dharma-gate, generated the mind of the first abode, renouncing the ways of ordinary beings and practicing the forbearance of subduing, gaining entry into the luminous contemplation method of the ten abodes. Further, there were ten thousand faithful men and faithful women who entered the pure Dharma-gate of the ten practices. Further, there were eighty thousand great Brahma kings who attained the luminous contemplation method of the first ground. Further, there were asura kings of the eight classes who each renounced their original forms, entered the ten faithful minds, and practiced the ten wholesome deeds. Further, there were eighty thousand people of the tenth ground who presently achieved right enlightenment. "Buddha sons! At that time, all the great assemblies in the boundless Buddha lands of the ten directions, having heard the Buddha speak the Dharma-gate of the six entries in the necklace adornment—namely the ten abodes, ten practices, ten dedications, ten grounds, Stainless Ground, and Ground of Wondrous Enlightenment—each generated the unsurpassed mind of bodhi and returned to their own lands. Further, there were those of the form realm and the formless realm who each returned to cultivate supernatural powers, returning to their original dwelling places to broadly proclaim the bodhisattva necklace Dharma-gate and transform and instruct devas and humans. Further, there were the devas of the six desire heavens who returned to their own heavens to extensively expound the immeasurable original practices for the devas and humans. At that time the great assemblies each accepted, upheld, recited, and understood its meaning, returning to their native lands to expound the original practices of the bodhisattvas and the original acts of the Buddhas, their reception and upholding having been completed."
