1.11

At that time, Śākyamuni Buddha, with his vajra mouth, addressed Bodhisattva Śraddhāpradāna, saying: "Son of the Buddha! Listen attentively, listen attentively, and reflect upon it well; practise in accordance with the Dharma. Previously, among devas and humans, I broadly opened up the immeasurable practices and vows of all bodhisattvas; this Dharma is also that which the buddhas of the ten directions and the three periods of time joyfully expound—the definitive, explicit necklace adornments, the path traversed by the buddhas. Now, for this great assembly and all the faculties of fourteen nayutas of beings, I shall open the original acts of the necklace adornments. Your mind is worthy of being remembered; your aspirations are lofty and far-reaching, your great compassionate transformation and benevolence reach all sentient beings of the ten directions."
