At that time, the Muni Buddha praised the bodhisattvas of the ten directions, who were each foremost in their respective lands and had each arrived to enter this great assembly together with countless superior beings. They bowed their heads at the Buddha's feet and sat upon thousand-jewel lotus seats. Then the foremost bodhisattva in the multitude from that land, named Śraddhāpradāna, spoke in praise through the Buddha's holy power, saying: "How joyful is this assembly! Observing the pure buddha lands where they abide, down to their Dharma robes, the Tathāgata's patterns of virtue, the wondrous goodness of their practice, and the causes of the forty-two worthy and noble stages, they expound the sutras and Dharma, attaining the Buddha's transformative reach. Delivering beings boundlessly according to whether lands are clear or defiled, the branches of the path's transformation are complete everywhere. Furthermore, the buddha lands of other directions also speak of the necklace adornments and original acts without any difference; the path and Dharma they reveal do not differ from what Śākyamuni now speaks." At that time, Bodhisattva Śraddhāpradāna, entering the supernatural power of all the buddhas of the lands of the ten directions, made a great lion's roar and raised a question concerning the Dharma gate of the vajra necklace adornments of the immeasurable great jewel treasury ocean of all buddhas and all bodhisattvas.
