"O Son of the Buddha! The wondrous contemplation of the superior forbearance is great cessation and signlessness, merely generating wholesome dharmas through conditions for all sentient beings while also maintaining all merits within oneself; therefore it is called the Buddha treasury, which quiescently illuminates all phenomena. From the Buddhas on down, all bodhisattvas illuminate quiescence. Therefore, O Son of the Buddha! In the fourth dhyāna in the past, I spoke to eight hundred million Brahma kings of the Tathāgata of Quiescent Illumination, who has no mind and no form, yet quiescently illuminates all phenomena. O Son of the Buddha! I now briefly expound these meaningful sentences to reveal the practice of wholesome dharmas for this great assembly."
