"Disciples of the Buddha, as for the Dharma gates: the so-called ten faithful minds are the foundation of all practices. Therefore, within the ten faithful minds, each single faithful mind contains ten grades of faithful minds, constituting the hundred illumination gates of the Dharma. Furthermore, from within these minds of the hundred illuminations of the Dharma, because each single mind contains a hundred minds, they constitute the thousand illumination gates of the Dharma. Furthermore, from within the minds of the thousand illuminations of the Dharma, each single mind contains a thousand minds, constituting the ten thousand illumination gates of the Dharma. Increasing progressively in this manner up to immeasurable illuminations, because one increasingly advances to ever-higher Dharmas, they constitute the illumination upon illumination Dharma gates. The merits of a million asaṃkhyeyas and all practices entirely enter these illumination gates."
