"Buddha sons! I have spoken of the immeasurable merits of the bodhisattva's gradual six entries to the Dharma-gate. Such are the six entries to the Dharma-gate that there is no bodhisattva who does not enter them. In this assembly of mine now, there are one billion four hundred million people who, without leaving their original seats, enter these six entries to the Dharma-gate. Buddha sons! When I originally first attained the Way, among these trees I spoke of the Dharma-gate of the ocean of the ten world systems, and there were nine billion people who also entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Hall of Universal Light, I spoke of the ten Buddha lands, and there were one hundred trillion people who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Hall of Śakra, I spoke of the ten abodes, and there were five million people who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Hall of Blazing Jewels, I spoke of the ten practices, and there were tens of millions of people who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Hall of Dharma Light in the fourth heaven, I spoke of the ten dedications, and there were people as numerous as the sands of ten Ganges Rivers who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Sixth Mani Hall, I spoke of the ten grounds, and there were people as numerous as the sands of a million Ganges Rivers who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Again, proceeding to the Jetavana grove, I spoke the 'Chapter on Entering the Dharmadhātu', and there were people as numerous as the sands of twelve Ganges Rivers who entered these gates of illumination of the six entries. Now, again coming to this seat of the eighth assembly, for the boundless great assembly of the ten directions and all the congregation of Śraddhāpradāna Bodhisattva, I speak of the gates of illumination of the six entries; all the great assembly accepts and upholds them as one, without duality and without distinction."
