「爾時，父王悲淚滿目，微聲語子：『欲殺汝母，取其血肉，以活我身，并續汝命。若不殺者，亦當自死，我身今者，死活何在？今為子命，欲殺汝母。』

"At that time, his eyes filled with tears of sorrow, the father king said in a faint voice to his son: 'I wish to kill your mother and take her flesh and blood to preserve my life and prolong your life. If I do not kill her, we will die of ourselves anyway; as for my body now, what does living or dying matter? Now, for the sake of your life, my son, I wish to kill your mother.'"
