2.57

說是法時，萬八千人發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心。一切大眾中有得須陀洹乃至阿羅漢。時天龍、鬼神、人及非人，亦能發聲聞、辟支佛心，聞法歡喜，頭面作禮，右遶而去。

When this Dharma was spoken, eighteen thousand people generated the mind of anuttarasamyaksaṃbodhi. Among the entire assembly, there were those who attained [the fruit of] srotāpanna up to arhat. At that time, devas, nāgas, spirits, ghosts, humans, and non-humans were also able to generate the mind of a śrāvaka or a pratyekabuddha. Hearing the Dharma, they rejoiced, bowed their heads in homage, circumambulated him to the right, and departed.
