佛告阿難：「爾時鹿母夫人者，今摩耶夫人是。摩耶夫人供養五百辟支佛，及修無量善業，是故今者得生如來身。」
The Buddha told Ānanda: "Lady Deer-Mother of that time was none other than Queen Māyā today. Because Queen Māyā made offerings to the five hundred pratyekabuddhas and cultivated immeasurable good karma, she has now been able to give birth to the body of the Tathāgata."
