3.62

爾時阿難觀察眾心咸皆有疑，即從坐起，整衣服，偏袒右肩，叉手合掌，白佛言：「世尊！均提沙彌，過去世時，作何功德？修何行業？值遇世尊獲得道果，何以速疾？」

At that time Ānanda, observing that the minds of the assembly all harbored doubts, arose from his seat, adjusted his robes, bared his right shoulder, joined his palms with hands clasped, and said to the Buddha: “Bhagavat! What merit did the śrāmaṇera Cunda cultivate in past lives? What actions did he practice that he encountered the Bhagavat and attained the fruit of the path so quickly?”
