問曰：「若欲限受晝日齋法，不受夜齋，得八戒不？若欲受夜齋，不受晝齋，得八戒不？」

[Upāli] asked: "If one wishes to limit the receipt to the daytime observance without receiving the night observance, does one obtain the eight precepts or not? If one wishes to receive the night observance without receiving the daytime observance, does one obtain the eight precepts or not?"
