答曰：「不得。所以爾者，佛本聽受一日一夜齋法，以有定限，不可違也。」
[The Buddha] replied: "One does not. Why is this? The Buddha originally permitted receiving the observance for one day and one night; because there is a fixed limit, it cannot be transgressed."
