釋提桓因及諸眷屬，無量諸天皆墮疑網：「如來云何枉屈神德，洗病比丘瘡痍膿血，云言報恩？其事云何，願為我等分別解說。」
Śakra Devānām Indra, his retinue, and immeasurable devas all fell into a net of doubt: 'Why did the Tathāgata condescend his spiritual virtue to wash the sick bhikṣu's sores, wounds, pus, and blood, and speak of repaying kindness?
