釋摩訶衍論 1.28

1.28

「善哉善哉言，經聽於我耳，
假耶實耶自，極疑於我心。
我非畜生身，我非外道眾，
而贊化為生，變化如是形。
世尊如鏡知，我沒於是界，
出於餘世界，如教普遊行。」

“The words ‘Excellent, excellent’
Have passed through and been heard by my ears;
Whether it is provisional or real in itself
Has raised extreme doubt in my mind.
I do not have an animal body,
Nor do I belong to the non-Buddhist groups;
Rather, assisting transformation for the sake of living beings,
I transformed into such a shape.
The World-Honoured One knows, as in a mirror,
That after disappearing from this realm,
I shall appear in other worlds,
Wandering everywhere in accord with the teaching.”
