5.21

譬如虛空中，清淨滿月輪，
獨一無二體，遍現於千器。
本覺亦如是，獨一無二體，
遍於諸眾生，種種心相中。
譬如一段雲，覆彼滿月輪，
千器諸月輪，皆隱沒不現。
無明亦如是，唯一體無二，
遍到諸眾生，能作熏習事。

Just as in the open sky, / the pure disc of the full moon,
Being solely one, without a second entity, / manifests ubiquitously in a thousand vessels,
Original awakening is also like this: / solely one, without a second entity,
Pervading sentient beings / amidst their various mental characteristics.
Just as a single wisp of cloud / covers that disc of the full moon,
And the moons in a thousand vessels / all become hidden and unmanifest,
Avidyā is also like this: / solely one entity without a second,
Pervading all sentient beings, / capable of performing the task of perfuming.
