Commentary: The two phrases and meanings here are, among the five fruits, being free from diverse thoughts and attaining the pleasure of the Dharma garden. Because views are eternally quiescent, one is free from all marks, since marks are mostly generated from views. Because one attains the pleasure of the Dharma garden, there is subtle joy. 'All views' refers to the five views and so forth. Prior to the grounds and on the grounds they are subdued and eliminated without remainder, hence it says 'eternally quiescent'. Taking the realm of reality as a garden and roaming at ease within it, rejoicing in this is called 'the pleasure of the Dharma garden'. Realizing convergence is called 'attaining'. Just as outside a royal palace there is an exquisite garden in which one roams and disports, experiencing superior joy and delight, the realm of reality is also like this: both seeking realization and directly realizing generate bliss.
