The commentary states: Next below is the second: listing the specific adornments. Within this, there are fourteen specific adornments in total; here are two adornments. The seven treasures are intermingled, which is why multitudinous colors reflect each other; the four radiances shine brightly, and therefore can emit vast bright light. Furthermore, vermilion and purple intermingle, speaking of mutual reflection in terms of concrete things; white and yellow soar in splendor, emitting bright light apart from physical substance. This general meaning expresses that the Dharma-nature is without attachment; in relation to conditions and nirvāṇa, it is divided into four analogies that reflect each other, adapting to beings to form multitudinous colors. Furthermore, wisdom is divided into ultimate and conventional, resembling multitudinous colors that reflect each other. When these two are equally bestowed, the brilliance of the teaching resembles colors emitting bright light; having the function of illumination, it also assists the power of destroying darkness. Therefore, these two lines constitute two adornments.
