The commentary says: This is the third [part], concluding with an exhortation to cultivate and learn. The wisdom of texts is precisely the bodhisattva phrase-meaning, because seeking this and studying this is called a phrase. The other four kinds of wisdom are called the bodhisattva’s meaning, because the bodhisattva’s teachings express these four. Since one becomes a bodhisattva through these five kinds, these five kinds are precisely the bodhisattva’s expressing and expressed meanings. Among all bodhisattvas, those at lower stages looking forward to advance toward the superior upper stages should diligently and vigorously learn these five kinds.
