The Commentary says: This is the second gate of sameness of entering the broad wheel, because by contemplating sameness one cultivates and realizes the real. Herein there are three: this marks the title of the dharma gate spoken. Previously, in explaining the wheel-syllables, it had not yet explained gathering phenomena; now it explains that all phenomena are gathered by the real, because it is complete, pervasive, and free from clingings. Because this is pervasive, it is called 'broad'; because there is no phenomenon it does not gather, it is called 'sameness'; because it is the fundamental essence of all phenomena, it is called 'nature'.
