Asaṅga explains: "Fully knows" means knowing the mental body (nāmakāya), as the four aggregates constitute name; "fully sees" means seeing the physical body (rūpakāya), meaning that in all walking, standing, and actions, he knows their minds and sees their support. That is, this demonstrates being embraced by a good spiritual friend. In "engendering and grasping immeasurable merit," "engendering" refers to the exact moment the merit arises, and "grasping" refers to gathering and maintaining the seeds when it ceases.
