1.94

就初之中有四，初、明廣大心，次、明第一心，次、明常心，次、明不顛倒心，此初也。上依世親科。依無著者，就第三彼修行所住處中差別言之有十八，約地言之有三，謂初十六是地前資糧、加行二位凡夫修行，即信行地；第十七證道是十地菩薩行，即淨心地；第十八上求地，即佛地也。

Within this first [part], there are four sections: first, explaining the vast mind; second, explaining the supreme mind; third, explaining the constant mind; fourth, explaining the non-erroneous mind. This is the first. The above is divided according to Vasubandhu. According to Asaṅga, regarding the distinctions within the third [question], the abodes where that practice takes place, there are eighteen; in terms of stages (bhūmi), there are three: the first sixteen are the practices of ordinary beings at the two levels of provisioning (sambhāramārga) and application (prayogamārga) prior to the stages, which is the stage of practicing with faith (adhimukticaryābhūmi); the seventeenth, the path of realization, is the practice of the bodhisattvas of the ten stages, which is the stage of the pure mind (śuddhādhyāśayabhūmi); the eighteenth, the stage of seeking what is supreme, is the Buddha stage (buddhabhūmi).
