2.46

述曰，世親云，就第三段第四校量中，上來別破三疑竟。自下第二正校量中，初、校勝劣，次、「以要言之」下，釋所以。前中有二，初、明行三種行功德至多，次、舉事校量，此初也。三種行，謂一者、受，二者、持，三、讀誦。

The commentary says: Vasubandhu states that within the fourth [part], comparative evaluation, of the third section, the distinct refutation of the three doubts above is now completed. Next, within the second [part], the direct comparative evaluation: first is the comparison of superior and inferior; next, from "In brief" onward, is the explanation of the reason. Within the former there are two: first, clarifying that the merit of practicing the three kinds of practice is exceedingly vast; second, presenting examples for comparative evaluation. This is the first. The three kinds of practice are: first, receiving; second, upholding; third, reading and reciting.
