波羅蜜者，此云彼岸到，應云到彼岸，謂離生死此岸，度煩惱中流，到涅槃彼岸。涅槃，此云圓寂，亦云滅度。一切眾生即寂滅相，不復更滅，但以迷倒妄見生死，名在此岸；若悟生死本空，元來圓寂，名到彼岸。若兼般若迴文，應云到彼岸慧。

'Pāramitā' is translated here as 'to the other shore reached', which should be 'reaching the other shore', meaning leaving this shore of saṃsāra, crossing the midstream of afflictions, and reaching the other shore of nirvāṇa. Nirvāṇa is translated here as complete quiescence, and also as extinction and crossing over. All sentient beings are themselves of the characteristic of quietude and extinction, and are not to be extinguished again; it is merely that due to deluded inversion they falsely see saṃsāra, which is called being on this shore. If one realizes that saṃsāra is fundamentally empty and has always been completely quiescent, this is called reaching the other shore. If combined with prajñā by inverting the phrasing, it should be 'wisdom reaching the other shore'.
