尼者，此云女也。優婆塞，此云近事男；優婆夷，此云近事女。親近比丘、比丘尼而承事故。阿修羅，此云非天。皆大等者，《文殊所問經》云「有三種義歡喜奉行：一、說者清淨，不為取著利養所染；二、所說清淨，以如實知法體；三、得果清淨。」○無著云：「若聞如是義，於大乘無覺，我念過於石，究竟無因故。」天親云：「諸佛希有總持法，不可稱量深句義，從尊者聞及廣說，迴此功德施群生。」大雲云：「大聖說經，妙理斯畢，二空圓極，四眾奉行。」肇云：「同聽齊悟，法喜蕩心，服翫遵式，永崇不朽。」資聖云：「般若深經，三世佛母，聞經四句以超惡趣之因，一念淨持必獲菩提之記，故人天異類莫不虔受奉行矣。」

Bhikṣuṇī is translated here as 'woman'. Upāsaka is translated here as 'approaching-and-serving man'; upāsikā is translated here as 'approaching-and-serving woman', because they draw near to bhikṣus and bhikṣuṇīs to attend to and serve them. Asura is translated here as 'non-god'. / Regarding 'all [were filled with] great [joy]' and so forth, the Mañjuśrīparipṛcchā-sūtra states: 'There are three meanings in rejoicing and practicing: first, purity of the speaker, being unstained by attachment to profit and support; second, purity of what is spoken, knowing the nature of dharmas as it truly is; third, purity of the attained fruit.' / Asaṅga states: 'If one hears such a meaning / Yet has no awareness toward the Mahāyāna, / I consider them to surpass a stone, / For they are ultimately devoid of causes.' Vasubandhu states: 'The rare dhāraṇī-Dharma of all Buddhas, / Its immeasurable and profound sentences and meanings, / Having heard and broadly explained from the Venerable One, / I dedicate this merit to bestow upon all sentient beings.' Dayun states: 'The Great Sage preached the sūtra, and the wondrous principle is thus complete; the two emptinesses are fully perfected, and the four assemblies practice it.' Sengzhao states: 'Listening together and awakening equally, the joy of Dharma purifies the mind; cherishing and following the model, they revere it eternally without decay.' Zisheng states: 'The profound sūtra of prajñā is the mother of the Buddhas of the three times; hearing four lines of the sūtra transcends the causes of evil destinies; with a single thought of pure upholding, one is certain to receive the prophecy of bodhi; therefore, none among humans, gods, and other classes fail to reverently receive and practice it.'
