先標錯解。魏云「若有人言如來得阿耨菩提者，是人不實語。」後釋正見。偈云「菩提彼行等。」謂等前菩薩行無得也。無著云：「或謂然燈如來所於法不得正覺，世尊後時自得正覺。為離此取，故云若人言等。」

First, the erroneous understanding is indicated. The Wei translation says: "If someone says that the Tathāgata attained anuttarā-bodhi, this person speaks untruth." Next, the correct view is explained. The verse says: "Bodhi and that practice are equal." This means equal to the previous bodhisattva practice of non-attainment. Asaṅga says: "Someone might say that before Dīpaṅkara Tathāgata he did not attain correct enlightenment regarding dharmas, but the World-Honoured One later attained correct enlightenment on his own. To dispel this grasping, he says: 'If someone says...' and so on."
