The Treatise says: "The view of self is false discrimination; what the Buddha spoke of is precisely non-view." Asaṅga says: "This shows how one does not discriminate. How does it show this? Just as non-Buddhists speak of a self, the Tathāgata speaks of it as a view of a self; thus the selflessness of persons is established. Furthermore, because he speaks of the existence of this view of a self, the selflessness of dharmas is established. When a bodhisattva contemplating in this way enters the corresponding samādhi, they no longer discriminate; this very contemplation is the skillful means for entering."
