迦葉三兄弟等者。《智度論》說：「爾時第一優樓頻螺迦葉，在火龍窟為首，教化五百弟子。二那提迦葉，領三百弟子，在象頭山修行。三伽耶迦葉，領二百弟子，在希連河曲。共計千人。皆為世尊之所降伏，求索出家，師徒皆得阿羅漢果。」

On "the three Kāśyapa brothers and the others": the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* says: "At that time, the first, Uruvilvā-Kāśyapa, as the leader in the cave of the fire dragon, taught five hundred disciples. The second, Nadī-Kāśyapa, led three hundred disciples, practicing on Mount Gayāśīrṣa. The third, Gayā-Kāśyapa, led two hundred disciples at the bend of the Nairañjanā River. Together they numbered one thousand people. All were subdued by the World-Honoured One, sought to leave home, and both masters and disciples attained the fruit of arhatship."
