3.134

具足者。圓滿義。謂轉捨二障，轉得菩提涅槃，攝轉具足也。既證聖性生如來家，須示佛果功德令其欣趣。然其果德雖多，以要言之，不出依正二報。二報之內先明所依，若無所依，能依何立？正報之內不踰福智，智引福故先智後福，然後別顯三業，依次所明。

"Completeness" means perfection. That is, by transforming and abandoning the two obstacles, one transforms and attains bodhi and nirvāṇa; it encompasses the completeness of transformation. Having realized the noble nature and been born into the Tathāgata's family, the merits of the Buddha fruition must be shown to make them aspire and advance toward them. Although the fruit's virtues are manifold, to state them essentially, they do not exceed the dependent and proper retributions. Within the two retributions, that upon which one depends is explained first, for if there is no that upon which one depends, how can that which depends be established? Within the proper retribution, it does not exceed merit and wisdom; because wisdom guides merit, wisdom comes first and merit comes after, and then the three actions are specifically revealed, explained in this sequence.
