故佛下。懸示答意。意云：昔住六塵之境，今住四心；昔行十惡，今行六度；昔時著相，今令不著。如是用心真實修行，發菩提心豈忘失耶？

On "Therefore the Buddha..." and so forth: indicating in advance the intention of the reply. The intention says: formerly abiding in the realm of the six dusts, now they abide in the four minds; formerly practicing the ten unwholesome deeds, now they practice the six perfections; formerly clinging to marks, now they are made not to cling. By employing the mind in this way in authentic cultivation, how could generating the bodhi mind be forgotten and lost?
