況詳下。三、詳定經旨。降伏在住修中者。住中降伏即實無度者，修中降伏即無住布施，無度無住便是離相。離相既通住修，故知降伏是總。

From "Furthermore, examining closely" downward: third, examining closely and determining the sūtra's import. Regarding "subduing is within abiding and cultivation": subduing within abiding is that in reality there is no one delivered; subduing within cultivation is giving without abiding; having no delivery and no abiding is simply departing from characteristics. Since departing from characteristics pervades abiding and cultivation, we know that subduing is the general.
