Regarding "Therefore that..." below: both passages corroborate and reveal the meaning of the physical body. Now, within this doubt, clarifying the true and responsive bodies from subtle to prominent has six levels in all: first, clarifying that the Buddha's marks are non-marks; second, clarifying that the Buddha's marks are not immediately the Tathāgata; third, clarifying that all marks are non-marks; fourth, clarifying that all marks being non-marks is everywhere the Tathāgata; fifth, clarifying that only in corresponding realization is there no Buddha to be seen; sixth, clarifying that the mark of marklessness is the true physical body. In these six levels, the earlier ones are shallower and the later ones become progressively deeper. Although the text cannot be written down all at once, the principle manifests suddenly; what the realized person sees must be simultaneous, without before or after.
