假言顯義者。謂所言非法，是顯法體離於性計，若無非法之言，罔知彼義；餘皆例此。當知義不自顯，必假於言。故《淨名》云：「無離文字說解脫也。」

On 'Using provisional words to reveal meaning': What is called 'non-phenomena' reveals that the entity of phenomena is free from imagined nature; if there were no words of 'non-phenomena', one would not know that meaning; the rest are all like this. One should know that meaning does not reveal itself; it must depend upon words. Therefore the Vimalakīrti Sūtra says: 'There is no speaking of liberation apart from words.'
