4.226

舉因問。經意云：於汝心中，所謂如何？謂我得菩提？為不得耶？謂我說法？為不說耶？伊本疑此，故舉問之。

Bringing up the cause to ask: The sūtra's intention is: 'In your mind, what is your view? Do you say I attained bodhi, or did not attain it? Do you say I preached the Dharma, or did not preach it?' He originally doubted this, so [the Buddha] brought it up to ask him.
