5.112

未來等者。謂無著出世當正法中，故引來世之勝人，以誡當時之劣者，是知小人君子何代無之。斯則指於第二疑中所說後五百歲持戒修福者也。

"The future..." means: Asaṅga appeared in the world during the True Dharma; thus he cited the superior persons of future ages to admonish the inferior ones of his own time, so that we know that base persons and noble gentlemen exist in every era. This points to those who keep the precepts and cultivate merit in the latter five hundred years, spoken of in the second doubt.
