無著下。可解。夫佛與菩提，義分人法，體無二源，由是唐言總名為覺。既佛即菩提，菩提即佛，豈有得義？應知說菩提樹下成正覺時，同彼然燈佛處，亦無所得也。

"Asaṅga..." and so forth can be understood. Now, as for the Buddha and bodhi, conceptually they are distinguished as person and Dharma, but essentially they have no two origins; hence in the Tang language both are generally named "awakening" (jue). Since the Buddha is bodhi and bodhi is the Buddha, how could there be any meaning of attainment? One should know that when it speaks of attaining complete awakening under the Bodhi tree, just as at the place of Dīpaṃkara Buddha, there was likewise nothing attained.
