恐施下。敘經起之意也。恐彼意云：若施不求佛，即起煩惱，本為求佛，云何煩惱？彼所求者，即是三十二相之身，為破此見，故復問之。

[The commentary] states, "Fearing that giving..." This recounts the intention behind the arising of the sūtra text. Fearing that their thought would be: "If giving is done without seeking the Buddha, defilements will arise; but if it is originally done to seek the Buddha, how could there be defilements?" What they seek is precisely the body with the thirty-two marks; in order to shatter this view, [the Buddha] questions it again.
