潛滋等者。既不了無常，唯於境相而生常想，不能捨離，縱不故意任運生情，不覺而起，故曰潛也。

"Secretly nourishing," etc.: Not comprehending impermanence, one merely generates thoughts of permanence regarding objective marks and cannot abandon them; even without conscious intention, emotions arise spontaneously and stir without awareness, hence it is called "secretly."
