善現既聞持經成就希有之法，故問：「此經何名？云何受持？」佛答：「此經名『金剛般若』，能斷一切疑執故，當奉持也。」斷執雖用般若之智，然法性本空，不可取著，故云即非般若波羅蜜也。

Subhūti, having heard that upholding the sūtra accomplishes a rare dharma, therefore asked: "What is this sūtra called? How should we receive and uphold it?" The Buddha answered: "This sūtra is named 'Vajra Prajñā', because it can sever all doubts and attachments; thus you should receive and uphold it." Although the wisdom of prajñā is used to sever attachments, yet the dharma-nature is fundamentally empty and cannot be grasped at; therefore he said: "is not prajñāpāramitā."
