洪武十年十一月二十有二日皇帝有詔：令天下僧徒習通《心經》、《金剛》、《楞伽》三經，晝則講說，夜則禪定。

On the twenty-second day of the eleventh month of the tenth year of Hongwu, the Emperor issued an edict commanding the monks of the realm to study thoroughly the three sūtras: the Heart Sūtra, the Vajracchedikā, and the Laṅkāvatāra, expounding them by day and meditating in Chan by night.
