復詔：取諸郡禪教僧會于天界善世禪寺，校讐三經古註，一定其說，頒行天下，以廣傳持。洪惟皇上以金輪統御，乘夙願力，親受靈山付囑，流通教法，以壽慧命，不勝幸甚。於是（臣）僧（宗泐）等才雖愚鈍，敢竭丹衷，述平昔所聞，輒為註釋。註成，以十一年正月二十有八日，詣闕進呈，上御華蓋殿覽畢，乃可其說，勅刊板行世。然此三經皆是究心之要，其功在乎破情顯性，而流通之功良亦不細，上以陰翊王度、下以資益群生，非惟吾徒一時之幸，實天下萬世之至幸也。（臣）僧（宗泐）謹識。

He further decreed: assemble the Chan and doctrinal monks from the various prefectures at Tianjie Shanshi Chan Monastery to collate the ancient commentaries on the three sūtras, establish their interpretations uniformly, and promulgate them throughout the realm for wide transmission and preservation. We humbly reflect that His Majesty, governing with the golden wheel and relying on the power of past vows, personally received the entrustment of Vulture Peak to disseminate the teaching of the Dharma and prolong the life of wisdom; our fortune knows no bounds. Thereupon, though your subject monk Zongle and others are of dull and foolish capacity, we dared to exhaust our utmost sincerity, recounting what we had heard in the past to compose this commentary. When the commentary was completed, on the twenty-eighth day of the first month of the eleventh year, we went to the imperial court and presented it. His Majesty reviewed it in the Huagai Hall, approved its explanations, and ordered it carved onto printing blocks to circulate in the world. Indeed, these three sūtras are essential for examining the mind, their efficacy lying in shattering delusions and revealing original nature; and the merit of disseminating them is truly not small. Above, it secretly assists the kingly way; below, it aids and benefits all living beings. This is not only a temporary fortune for our fellow monks, but truly the supreme fortune for all under heaven across myriad generations. Recorded with respect by the subject monk Zongle.
