1.37

善護念者，為護念現在根熟菩薩，與智慧力，令其成就自行；與教化力，令其攝受眾生也。

'Skillfully protects and keeps in mind' means that for the sake of protecting and keeping in mind present bodhisattvas whose faculties are mature, he grants them the power of wisdom to enable them to accomplish their own practice, and grants them the power of instruction to enable them to gather in sentient beings.
