1.43

善現既讚歎請問，妙稱佛心，故印可云：「善哉，善哉，當為汝說也。」而又誡約云：「應如是住、如是降伏其心。」善現即會佛意故，唯然應之：「願聞是法。」

Since Subhūti had offered praise and asked the question, wonderfully conforming to the Buddha's mind, the Buddha approved him, saying: 'Excellent, excellent! I will explain it for you.' And he further gave an instruction: 'They should thus abide, should thus subdue their minds.' Subhūti immediately understood the Buddha's intention, and so responded affirmatively: 'We wish to hear this Dharma.'
